Mr. Charles Baker founded Damien Productions in 1988 after a pilgrimage to Medjugorje, Yugoslavia. Over the next 12 years he expanded his repertoire of one-man performances by adding... I, Paul, The Last Canticle of St. Francis, and Baptizer to his first play DAMIEN.
In 2002 Charley decided to take a hiatus from Damien Productions to stay at home and spend more time with his wife, Karen, and their three children, Stephen, Elizabeth, and Peter.
To honor St. Paul in his Jubilee Year, I, Paul has been revived, and Mr. Baker is now back in full swing performing all of his productions in repertoire.
This website was developed to introduce you to Damien Productions. In it you will find plenty of background material covering Charley's travels through letters and newspaper articles commenting on his performances. Additional articles and letters will be added as they are received. Also there are two resource stages. One containing promotional materials for parish performances, and another for schools who will be hosting Charley. There you will find a promotional flyer and a study guide.
St. Paul, St. Francis of Assisi, and St. John the Baptist, and Damien.
To facilitate hosting Mr. Baker, all of these materials are in Adobe Format so you can print them out off the website as soon as booking day, date, and time are confirmed.
All of Charley's plays are an accurate historical representation of the lives of these men. They are suitable for old as well as young audiences (5th grade on up) and are meant to inspire us to seek a closer walk with Jesus.
